Alastair is an audit partner and a member of the firm’s Charities and Education Unit. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and is the Audit Technical Compliance Partner for the Thames Valley office. Alastair has dealt with a broad portfolio of clients covering both the commercial and charities sectors during his working career. He acts for several schools and charities and has advised a number of clients on a range of issues including the implementation of SORP accounting, day to day accounting, trustee and senior management recruitment, performance measurement, management and KPIs, frameworks for Governance and risk management, organisational structures, VAT and Corporation Tax strategies. He has extensive experience of the audit and accounting issues faced by charities and has been involved with the sector for nearly 20 years.
