Tom is the Private Client tax partner in the Manchester office, having joined the firm in 2008. Tom trained with a Big 4 firm and has considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of personal taxation for high net worth clients and their families. His particular interest is in providing advice to entrepreneurial clients on the tax consequences and planning opportunities arising from their business interests. With an emphasis on capital gains tax and inheritance tax, Tom has worked with clients on numerous transactions to ensure that the burden of tax is legitimately mitigated thus maximising the value retained and ensuring that the ongoing structure of protected where appropriate. Tom also has significant experience in the use of trusts for families to ensure that their wealth is protected from the ravages of taxation and potential future creditors. Tom is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
