Mike Hall, Partner Martin Regan, Partner Martin is an audit partner in the Cheltenham office and he joined the firm in 1987. He is head of the Audit and Business Services Department within the office. Martin’s client portfolio is representative of the firm’s niche markets, as he deals with family & owner-managed Businesses, Professional Practices, and not for profit organisations. Martin is a specialist in due diligence work for acquisitions and mergers. Stewart Russell, Partner Neil Denniss, Partner Mark Anderson , Partner Mark is an audit and client services partner in the Tunbridge Wells office, and he brings to this role a wide experience of auditing large and medium-sized owner-managed businesses, PLCs and solicitors together with business start-ups and funding, transaction support work and business, strategic and financial planning. Chris Gandon , Partner Chris has a wealth of experience as an audit partner and a general practitioner and specialises in client advisory work particularly in the waste stream management, renewable energy and construction sectors, professional practice management and client succession issues. Chris is a member of The British Academy of Experts, a founding member of The Expert Witness Institute and is a Mindshop Facilitator. Keith Newman, Partner Keith is the Managing Partner of the Kent office. Keith specialises in advising clients in relation to acquisitions, expansion and raising of finance where appropriate. His clients cover a wide range of corporate bodies from publicly listed companies to sole traders and he has particular expertise in the food and construction industries. His business philosophy is to match the firm’s high technical standards to sensible commercial business advice. Nigel Bostock , Partner Nigel is a partner specialising in the audit of corporate and LLP clients. He has valuable experience with financial reporting at all levels and specialises in both UK GAAP and the IRFS requirements for financial reporting. He is co-author of the Informa Self Study Course ‘IRFS in Practice’. He has worked with a number of listed companies on the specific challenges arising from the accounting treatment and Financial reporting for share bank payments. George Cranston , Partner George has led the Corporate Finance division in the UK since its formation in 1992. He has over 20 years experience in providing a broad range of corporate finance services to companies of all sizes in both the quoted and private sector. His experience includes the raising of venture and development capital, debt and equity fund raising, management buy outs and buy ins, divestitures and advisory services in respect of corporate acquisitions. Recently George has been providing services to companies in the healthcare and media sectors but he also has significant experience in retail and engineering. He is also managing partner of the London office. David Devon , Partner David Devon's clients cover a wide range of corporate bodies from large privately owned companies to non executive directorships with non audit clients. Teaming high technical standards with sensible commercial business advice, David acts for a number of distribution companies covering the privately owned wholesale and retail areas of the food and chemical sectors. Martin Israel , Partner Martin is an experienced audit and business assurance partner with over 25 years in general practice, specialising in advising clients in a wide range of industries, including motor, travel, retail, property, recruitment and training. He has significant depth and breadth of experience in entrepreneurial family owned businesses and also advises foreign companies looking to set up UK operations. He has been involved in a large number of corporate transactions, typically involving owner-managed businesses selling out to large corporates or floating on AIM. David Mellor, Partner David leads our Corporate Group in London and specialises in the taxation of companies and their shareholders in particular multinational and quoted groups. His background is in corporate and international tax, corporate finance and cross border deal structuring and M&A. He has particular expertise in structuring international groups, tax incentives for shareholders, planning for growth, acquisitions and divestments and helping clients maximise their wealth. David is a member of the QCA tax committee, working for the needs of quoted companies outside the FTSE 350. His particular industry expertise lies in mining & minerals, hotels leisure & tourism, telecommunications, software & IT, media & advertising. David is the UK firm’s International Liaison partner and a member of the Horwath International Tax Committee.
Michael Jayson, Partner Michael is the Managing Partner of the Manchester office and is responsible for providing audit and accounting services to a full range of clients including corporates and LLPs, across many different sectors and ranging from OMBs to listed companies. He provides clients with focused business advice relevant to their organisation. He is experienced in the reporting requirements of listed companies and advises on the adoption of IFRS. Michael also has wide experience in financial services and AIM flotations. Ken Bartlett, Partner Ken provides all round business advice to his clients, particularly in the area of succession planning and has expertise in the area of share valuations. Dave Darlaston, Partner Dave has a wealth of experience across a number of business sectors but has particular knowledge of the travel sector, printing, retailing and farm management. He also specialises in the audits of Trade Unions. Dave is a committed member of the firm’s client service initiative, dedicated to developing and improving client service. Helen Drew, Partner Helen was Chairman of the Worcester Group of Chartered Accountants and continues to be an active committee member both in Worcester and Birmingham to promote the profession. Helen is a member of the Practice Assurance Committee for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Johnathan Dudley, Partner Johnathan provides specialist business and strategic advice across a wide range of commercial, manufacturing and professional services businesses. Johnathan also coordinates the Midlands tax practice and drives the marketing of the specialist services. Johnathan is an active member of the Walsall Urban Regeneration Company Board and also serves on the board of the Walsall division of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce. Joe Hancox, Partner Joe has particular expertise in advising shareholders and directors of major international and UK based owner-managed businesses. Joe has been a member of the Horwath Clark Whitehill Executive Board and Finance Partner of the firm for a number of years. Guy Morgan, Partner Guy also acts as adviser to multi-national UK subsidiaries ranging from start-ups to multi-million turnover businesses. Richard Wherton, Partner Richard carries out a variety of reporting assignments, and is particularly strong in Transaction Support Services acting for clients and banks. Richard also acts for a variety of entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses across a wide spread of business sectors. As an accredited facilitator, his Mindshop facilitation skills enable him to add real value to his clients. Jeremy Cooper, Partner Ian Dale, Partner, Thames Valley Ian has extensive experience in providing corporate advice, audit services and transaction support to both private and listed companies in a wide variety of industries. Ian is a member of the firm’s National Executive Team, its listed company groups and is the non-executive chairman of Horwath Clark Whitehill Financial Services Limited.
Alastair Lyon , Partner Alastair has been involved with the flotation of several companies including those on AIM and NASDAQ. He was appointed partner in 2000 and continues to be involved with a number of due diligence and other investigation assignments as well as acting for a portfolio of clients, many with formal reporting requirements. Alastair is the office’s Audit Compliance Partner and a member of the firm’s listed clients committee. Patrick O'Neill, Partner Patrick is head of services to the Property and Construction sector in the Thames Valley. He acts for a number of construction and property companies. He also advises a prominent research organisation within the construction sector. Patrick advises on a wide range of property and construction matters in the Thames Valley, including advice on business structures, minimising risk, ensuring that land deals are tax efficient, and costing work in progress and development appraisal implementation.
Angela Lazda, Partner Angela is the senior tax partner in the Thames Valley office and is also responsible for the firm’s tax technical resources nationally. Angela has thirty years experience in the taxation field providing advice to the firms corporate and listed clients. She has a broad knowledge of taxation, with particular expertise in corporation tax planning and tax on transactions. Angela writes articles, and regularly makes presentations at seminars and workshops. She also assists other Horwath Clark Whitehill offices and other firms of accountants with their tax advisory work. |
