| Our involvement with independent schools has grown from a zero base in 1997 to a position where we are market leaders in advising large schools in the sector in 2008. |
|
| This has been because of our commitment to understanding the sector's needs and working with all of the advisory groups to target areas and ensure focused advice. |
This began on the introduction of the 2000 charities SORP where specific and detailed guidance was needed. Horwath Clark Whitehill provided that advice and followed it up on the issue of the 2005 SORP to allow all schools to produce best practice accounts, without difficulty.
Our involvement continues with the well received sector benchmarking and we have built up resources to allow us to ensure a quality service continues. To order a copy of our benchmarketing survey, click here.
More challenges await the sector with the introduction of the Charities Act.
As part of our continued commitment to the sector, Horwath Clark Whitehill will make sure that all of our clients receive timely advice to meet their future challenges.
Horwath Clark Whitehill has developed an annual programme of seminars and training courses aimed at promoting best practice and providing trustees and finance teams up to date tools to manage the financial wellbeing of the charity.
In addition we have close contact with key interest groups such as the Independent Schools' Bursars Association (ISBA), the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS) and the Girls' Schools Association (GSA)and AGBIS.
