Meet our specialist Private Clients group Tim Norkett, Head of Private Clients Over the years he has developed extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of personal tax compliance and planning for high net worth individuals, directors of public companies and owner managed businesses, and the self-employed. He also has an interest in family offices, and has recently overseen the transfer of the private office of a large family group to be run in future by Horwath Clark Whitehill. Tim is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a committee member of the Hampshire Branch of Chartered Institute of Taxation. Neil Bailey, Partner Before joining Horwath Clark Whitehill Neil was a partner in another London practice and he has accumulated over 30 years experience specialising in trusts and non domiciliaries. His client base covers a wide range of onshore and offshore individuals, trusts and their associated companies. Neil advises clients and trustees on all aspects of trusts and estates as well as inheritance tax generally. Neil also advises non domiciliaries on tax and tax efficient structures and clients leaving or coming to the UK. In the ever more complex tax world Neil likes to provide advice tailored to fit each client. Neil lectures and trains regularly on subjects in his specialist areas. Tom Elliott , Partner Tom is the Private Client tax partner in the London and Manchester offices with considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of personal taxation for high net worth clients and their families. His particular interest is in providing practical advice to entrepreneurial clients on the tax consequences and planning opportunities arising from their business interests. With an emphasis on the capital taxes, Tom has worked with clients on numerous transactions to ensure that the burden of tax is legitimately mitigated thereby maximising the value realised. Tom also has significant experience in the use of trusts for families to ensure that their wealth is protected from the threats of taxation and future creditors. Tom is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. David Ford, Partner David joined the private client department of Horwath Clark Whitehill in November 1997 having qualified as a chartered tax adviser in 1994. He became a partner in April 2007 and advises high net worth individuals including those in the sports, media and entertainment sectors. Many of his clients run their own businesses so he has become skilled in providing tax advice and compliance services to businesses. David also advises on Limited Liability Partnership tax structures and is experienced in advising both UK and non-UK domiciled individuals on income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning issues. He works very closely with the firm's financial advisers in providing clients with tax efficient investment products.
